The Facts
Pronounced
ah-stee-oh-arth-rite-iss
There are more than 100 different kinds of
arthritis, which literally means joint inflammation.
Osteoarthritis
is by far the most common form.
Osteoarthritis affects 12.1 percent
of U.S. adults.
Most people develop osteoarthritis after the age of
45, but it can occur at any age.
Osteoarthritis affects each person differently.
Diet, weight and stresses on the joints affect the
disease.
By age 65, more than half of the population has x-ray evidence of
osteoarthritis in at least one joint. However, only one-third of people
with osteoarthritis in their x-rays report pain or other symptoms.
The warning signs of osteoarthritis:
Steady or intermittent pain in a joint.
Worsening of pain with activity.
Backache.
Stiffness after getting out of bed.
Joint swelling or tenderness in one or more joints. Crunching feeling or
sound of bone rubbing on bone.
Who is most at risk?
Being overweight for several years can put strain on the joints.
For most joints, especially the knees and hands,
osteoarthritis is more common and severe in women.
Stress on joints caused by one's occupation.
Stress on joints caused by activity or ageing.
Injury to the joint lining, caused by a past fracture.
What can you do to alleviate the pain?
Applying heat to stiff and painful joints for 20 minutes up to three
times a day.
Swimming in a heated pool.
Massaging the muscles around the joints.
Sleep on a firm orthopaedic mattress (spine)
How can osteoarthritis be prevented?
It is not usually possible to prevent the condition occurring
completely. Maintaining a normal weight for height and body structure,
keeping physically active, and avoiding excessive stress on the joints
as you get older,

Success Stories "I
began taking Exomine five months ago. This is my first order
ever. My gosh, my elbows and shoulders are not sore anymore. I
am a 72 year old woman. I love it, now if I could just get my
stubborn husband to try it, I think he would be able to move
around more."
- Sue Kinsey
"What's up, my name is Joe Wagner and I ordered Exomine a few
months ago. I am using it to help with my knee rehabilitation. I
can see very noticeable improvements since taking your product.
My range of motion is much more fluid and my knee is not sore at
all. I am a college athlete and I have noticed dramatic
improvements in my playing ability and speed. Thanks for a great
product!"

Osteoarthritis occurs when
the surface layer of cartilage-the protective tissue between
bones at joints-breaks down and wears away. This allows bones
under the cartilage to rub together, causing pain, swelling and
loss of motion of the joint. This pain and swelling is called
inflammation. Over time the cartilage may wear away entirely,
and the bones will rub together. Osteoarthritis can affect any
joint but usually affects hips, knees, hands and spine.
What are the warning signs of
osteoarthritis?
Pain, stiffness and swelling around a joint that lasts longer
than two weeks.
The joints that are usually affected are the hips, knees, feet
and spine. Finger and thumb joints might also be affected.
What causes osteoarthritis?
The exact cause is unknown.
The chances of getting osteoarthritis seem to increase with age.
Being overweight can increase your chance of getting
osteoarthritis.
Some people with osteoarthritis have other family members with
it.
Excess weight puts stress on joints such as hips and knees.
Injury to a joint or repeated overuse of it can also damage the
cartilage and lead to osteoarthritis.
Other types of arthritis can also damage joints and lead to
osteoarthritis.
Does the weather really affect
osteoarthritis?
Painful joints are often sensitive to the weather. They tend to
feel worse when the atmospheric (barometric) pressure is
falling, such as just before it rains. This would helps to
explain how people with osteoarthritis tend to be able to
predict rain, and why joint pains seem linked with the damp.
Actually there is no evidence that different climates have any
long-term effect on osteoarthritis or its outcome. The weather
may temporarily affect symptoms but not the arthritis itself.
There is no point in moving to a different area in the hope of
curing osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis occurs all over the world,
in all types of climate.
50% of all people will experience osteoarthritis by the age of
65. Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis. This
disease affects humans and all vertebrate animals.

If
you are experiencing joint pain, Exomine may be
able to strengthen joint areas while increasing
range of motion.
This is how it works...
Two major factors can cause joint pain:
1. Injury to the joints
2. Aging of the joints
A strong and healthy joint is rich in
glycosaminoglycans. In weak and unhealthy
joints, levels of glycosaminoglycans and other
key factors tend to be low.
Clinical studies show that the ingredients in
Exomine can help. In one study over a three
month period, subjects who took the same
ingredients that are in Exomine experienced a
gradual reduction in joint pain and tenderness
while improving flexibility and range of motion.
In an eight week clinical study, the ingredients
in Exomine provided more pain relief than
ibuprofen with fewer side effects. Additionally,
the benefits continued weeks after the study was
completed indicating that tissue had been
strengthened and repaired. |

Exomine Supplement Facts
Chondrotin Sulfate- A major
structural component of the cartilage. Chondrotin can help
stimulate the production of new healthy cartilage, block enzymes
that break down cartilage, and normalize joint fluids to reduce
friction. (3)
Exomine Contains: 100mg
Hylaronic Acid- The greatest
concentrations of this acid are found in joints and used as
lubrication. As you age, less hylaronic acid is produced, which
results in stiff joints. Supplementing this protein will
lubricate stiff joints.
Exomine Contains: 50mg
Glucosamine HCI- The clinical
benefits of glucosamine in the treatment of osteoarthritis are
impressive. 252 patients with osteoarthritis of the knee were
given placebo or 1500mg of glucosamine every day. The results
showed glucosamine can reduce pain and inflammation from
osteoarthritis. The longer it was used, the more apparent the
benefits were. Glucosamine is absorbed 90-98%.
Exomine Contains: 1500mg
BioCell Collagen Type II™- This
ingredient was formulated as an alternative to glucosamine and
chondrotin, but is also very effective when used in conjunction
with the two ingredients.
Exomine Contains: 2000mg
Methylsulfonyl Methane (MSM)- This
is a natural form of dietary sulfur and has been used to reduce
or eliminate arthritis pain. MSM has been found to be helpful
for many conditions, including arthritis.
Exomine Contains: 800mg
Vitamin B3- Can help with pain,
range of motion, muscle strength, and endurance.
Exomine Contains: 10mg
Vitamin C- Studies have shown
Vitamin C can help reduce the risk of cartilage loss and
arthritis progression.
Exomine Contains: 250mg
Boron- May be important for
maintaining healthy bones and joints. Double-blind placebo
controlled studies have shown that small daily amounts of boron
can help with osteoarthritis.
Exomine Contains: 1mg
Boswellia Serrata Ext.- Has
anti-inflammatory properties. The active ingredient, Boswellic
acid, can block the production of enzymes in the body that cause
inflammation.
Exomine Contains: 100mg
Ginger- A study involving 56
osteoarthritis patients proved that ginger was 75% effective for
osteoarthritis and muscular discomfort.
Exomine Contains: 100mg
Cat' Claw- Contains active
ingredients called "glycosides," that have been shown to reduce
inflammation and water retention.
Exomine Contains: 25mg
Tumeric- Laboratory tests and
clinical research indicate that the active ingredients have
unique antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Exomine Contains: 10mg
Grape Seed Ext.- Has flavonoid-like
substances call "proanthocyanidins" (PCOs) that act like
antioxidants. These PCOs work as synergists with Vitamin C. PCOs
inhibit certain chemicals from causing inflammation.
Exomine Contains: 25mg |
